Connect See Then Build to Codex

Add the public MCP to use the library in your Codex tasks.

Connect the MCP in Codex

Available now

You need the Codex app and a signed-in account with access to MCP settings. No separate See Then Build login or model API key is required for these public tools.

  1. Open Codex settings.

Go to Settings → MCP servers, then choose Add server.

  2. Name the connection.

Enter see-then-build and choose Streamable HTTP.

  3. Paste the server URL.

The public connection does not require authentication. Leave API keys and authorization headers empty.

    https://seethenbuild.com/api/mcp

  4. Save and restart Codex.

Choose Save, then Restart. Start a new task so it picks up the connection.

  5. Try your first request.

Use See Then Build to show me the latest daily demos. Include each demo’s creator and its See Then Build page link.

You should receive a dated edition with demo links. If a new edition is unavailable, ask for the latest published edition.

This connects the public tools; it does not install the packaged plugin workflows. Inline cards, imported workflows, and available creation tools depend on your chat app. In a managed workspace, your administrator may restrict MCP connections.

Prefer the Codex command line?

Run this command, then start a new Codex session:

codex mcp add see-then-build --url https://seethenbuild.com/api/mcp
